Car Parks Go Contactless
Customers of Dublin Airport car parks can now use contactless payment at 60 new terminals installed across all daa short-term and long-term parking locations. The new terminals allow motorists to simply “wave and pay” on their way into the car park and again on the way out, removing the need to pull a ticket or queue up at a pay-station.
The €500,000 project has been on going for some two years involving teams of experts from Ireland, Australia, Germany and the UK working together. Car Park Systems Administrator James Clarke said the new terminals also enable customers to use mobile payment options such as Android and Apple Pay. “This is an important part of our technology roadmap as car park customers increasingly use their mobile to book and pay as we continually try to improve and enhance the customer experience at Dublin Airport.”
The new contactless terminals also have a higher payment limit allowing customers to pay up to €99 just by waving their card against the contactless reader.
The new terminals meet the latest global payment security protocols, complying with the latest EMV (Euro Pay, MasterCard, Visa) and PCI (Payment Card Industry) regulations to ensure a more secure encryption protocol and safeguard all card payments made at Dublin Airport Car Parks.
